My 4x4 Scrapbook Class was this week, and we enjoyed making this cheerful "Best Day Ever" layout using Project Life cards in a non-pocket-page, traditional scrapbooking style! I still prefer good old 12x12 layouts. We cut apart some of the cards and punch pieces out of others to make our spread with a brand new color scheme of Sahara Sand, Mint Macaron, Crushed Curry and Lost Lagoon.
All the current Project Life by Stampin' Up products are on the retirement list and while supplies last. The Sunburst Thinlets (which I JUST got, whew!) are also being retired, so get them while you still can! I wish I'd bought that crazy sunburst die a LONG time ago, I have used it so much just in the last month. That's one retiring item that won't be going in my garage sale bin!
We also made this two-page spread using old retired Project Life cards. I used the largest circle punch I had to punch 24 circles, arranged them in a square, and laid a single matting sheet over them. Easy! So if you have bunches of PL cards and are bored of using them as rectangles, grab a circle punch and go to town! This gave me dozens of circles in fun patterns I otherwise would never have had.
I always use stamps to "soften" the crisp edges of my Project-Life card-based pages. I just like a more distressed, organic feel. Which brings me to remind you all once again that Gorgeous Grunge, that scrapbooker's staple, is retiring. Be sure to snag it in either wood-mount or cling-mount, before it's too late!
Thanks for coming to see my pages today! Do you scrap, too?
I love what you did with the Project Life cards! These are very nice layouts and color schemes.
I also love the Sunburst thinlits. I've only used them once (as a mask), and really should use them more. Thank you for the inspiration!

One more thing ... thank you for the reminder to cut them up or punch shapes out of the Project Life cards. :)
