I don't know what it is about this citrus stamp set, but out of all the things in the new catalog, the Lemon Zest stamps and punch bundle made the final cut for my very first order! I think I just knew I was going to love the bright colors I'd likely be using with it, and the in-your-face cheer of the funny sayings.
Those colors... yummo! The new Lemon Lime is just revitalizing all my combinations. I found it paired best with Pumpkin Pie as a nice bright orange, and Daffodil Delight was the best yellow for matching intensities.
Suggested Stampin' Up Color Combination:
I really like how the Glitter Enamel Dots make it look like drops of juice spilled. You can't really see it, but there is a nice clear sheen of Wink of Stella on the slices, too. Just another fun layer of detail!
My favorite thing about this set is that if you are budget-conscious or just don't think you'd use it enough, the stamps work just fine without the Lemon Builder Punch from the bundle. I'll be showing you ideas for the punch and bundle in another post--sooo many ideas! But you can use your 1.75 inch circle punch to punch out the slices, which you can then use whole or cut in half to form segments.
I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship... you can be sure I'll have more easy-peasy lemon-squeezy ideas for this adorable set, coming right up! If you'd like to add this one to your collection, please support Song of My Heart by purchasing Stampin' Up in my store.

Now I'm off to play with the new Coffee Break suite! That was actually the number one item on my first new catalog order. So far it's been the best selling stamp set for my customer friends, too. Is it on your wish list?
