Hey scrappers! Thanks for joining me again today for Day Eight of 31 Pages in 31 Days! I've set the annual challenge to create a scrapbook spread or single-page layout every day in August 2017.
Today's inspiration page is one I created for Week Two of Scrapbooking Summer School. Read the details on my annual class series here. It's too late to register for this year, but I hope you'll participate next year!
This spread has a little hippie, flower-child vibe to it with the large-petaled flower and the fun, laid back color scheme. The base pages are Sahara Sand, with a mat of Emerald Envy. The other colors are Soft Sky, Whisper White, Basic Black, and Lemon-Lime Twist. I never would have paired all those together, but the Perfect Days Memories & More card pack made me do it : ) and it's fun!
Suggested Stampin' Up Color Combination:
Tip: not crazy about some of the card designs? Punch out elements to use to accent pages, or borders to add emphasis to photos. I'm not into pocket-style scrapbooking, but I sure am enjoying the card collections for use on traditional 12x12 pages.
Want to make these pages at home? Here's what you'll need to gather:
That's it from me today. We are right in the middle of chicken pox at our house, and there's lots of comforting and commiserating to be done. We have Kindles and Nooks and the X-Box and VidAngel, but sometimes you just need Mom to come and watch a movie with you, ya know?
So thankful that being a Stampin' Up demonstrator is my full-time job, and work from home and be there for my kids when they need it. If you ever want to talk about joining up just for fun or starting your journey as a professional papercrafter, I'm happy to chat any time! Because sometimes you just need a Lyssa to talk things through, ya know? : ) Lyssa@songofmyheartstampers.com
See you tomorrow for Day 9!
