Welcome to Day One of another fun collaboration between myself and my Halloween-baby BFF, Penni Litwiller! We have gotten together for a week of fall crafting fun, so be sure to visit Song of My Heart every day this week for a roundup of the best not-so-spooky Halloween ideas.
We are starting with the most important thing: treats!!! It's all about the CANDY!!!
We were delighted to discover that the new Treat Tubes fit perfectly in our new Acetate Card Boxes. Isn't that cool? It makes such a great presentation. You can fit six tubes in one case. Then just wrap Designer Series Paper around the top and bottom and add a couple of punches or ribbon. So fast and easy!
I used The Little Things stamp set for my spooky-licious tags, topping them off with the awesome new Black Rhinestones.
The corks fit tightly, preventing spillage, and the tubes themselves are food-safe plastic, so you don't have to worry about glass breaking around little hands. The corks are a choking hazard for age 3 and under, however, so know the ages if you're gifting these to kids!
If six treat tubes is too many to give away at once (they come in a box of 12) they are still super cute served individually, too. Just tie some Black Shimmer Ribbon around the top with a mini glue dot tucked underneath to prevent it from sliding off. Then make a variety of fun tags to tie on with Baker's Twine. Adorable!
Penni rose to the treat-making challenge with a cute ensemble of sucker holders for her nieces and nephews. Every one of them was different! I love this project because it's simple enough that you could mass-produce them for classroom treats or neighborhood trick-or-treaters. Especially if you use the new Cat Punch with the matching Spooky Night papers--then you don't even have to stamp! Love it!
Ready for the instructions? We've got 'em!
Here's a run-down of what we used today. Order now and it will be on your doorstep in plenty of time to play!
Thanks for dropping in today, friends! See you back here tomorrow for Day Two of Penni & Lyssa's 2017 Halloween Adventure.
Wait until you see what we have up our sleeves next!
Hurray!! I've been hoping a new collaboration was in the works, and day 1 did not disappoint! What a great tip that those little test tubes also fit in our acetate boxes. I can already envision the same idea as a super fun hot cocoa kit for the winter. Can't wait to see all the fun ideas you roll out this week. Great job gals!!
