Last night I was at loose ends (and in a bad mood because I'm not able to be at the Stampin' Up convention this week! I've made tons of progress on my adrenal fatigue and anxiety disorder, but I still have a ways to go before I can handle crowds and several days of a sun-up to sundown schedule.) Anyway, I happened on a pile of embossing paste backgrounds that I made in advance so I could just grab them whenever.
Well, whenever finally arrived, and I got a bunch of these "sweet" cards done yesterday. As always, I was in a better mood when I shut down for the evening... crafting does that for a body!
The Daisy Punch and the brick wall background were great but it needed something to fill the sterile space and inject some color into the whiteness. At first I was thinking of green patterned-paper leaves. But then I remembered the fun metallic washi tape leaf technique I shared earlier this fall, and decided to use the Leaf Punch to make pink leaves with Basics Pack #1 Designer Washi Tape.
It was so easy to do, and it turned out looking like calico fabric. It was that warming touch that took the card right over the top. Then it was easy to know how to finish the flower center (Color Theory papers) and the sentiment (Dare to Dream hostess set with Berry Burst ink).
Now I need washi tape Basics Packs #2 and #3!!!
Now my only problem was that I couldn't decide if it looked better with the Daisy Punch on the right or left side. What do you think?
Thanks for stopping, sharing, shopping and commenting! You make my day when you do. Maybe I'll be making YOU a "sweet of you" card soon!
