Ok, I have a confession! As of this afternoon, I am officially obsessed with creating these little scenes using the brush-stroke stamps from Waterfront (page 48 in the Spring Occasions mini catalog). It's impossible to mess them up! well I guess you COULD, if you really tried super hard.
But I love sets that pay off in a big way for a small amount of effort, and Waterfront is definitely one of those.
The hardest thing about these notecards was choosing the colors. Seriously. I went with Fresh Fig (mountain), Crumb Cake (shore), Tranquil Tide (pines) and Island Indigo with Soft Sky for the lake. I started with the shoreline, stamped above, stamped below, stamped my sentiment, voila! All done. And lining them all up was a breeze because the set is clear photopolymer, so you can see right through it.
We'll just pretend this one isn't crooked.... nothing to see here, folks.... lol!
The best part about this set is how it made me feel like an artist creating a tiny little scene on a small canvas. I loved it! Any time you can come out of the craft room feeling great about what you just made, I'll take it.
Ready to give Waterfront a closer look? Here's the complete set. It's only $17, but if you need other supplies, don't forget you can choose anything out of the Sale-A-Bration rewards catalog during January with every $50 spent. Don't have a Spring mini catalog? Click here!
I just love your design with this set. Just beautiful. Had a go recreating it with the Stamparatus but colours are too heavy. Thank you so much for your beautiful blog. I just love it
