I accidentally discovered a cool new technique with Brusho Color Crystal this week! And I knew exactly what I wanted to use it for. Doesn't the background here remind you a little of Monet or VanGogh? I didn't have any waterlilies but I did have dragonflies, and I loved the way it all came together with the gleam of gold thread and gold embossing, with the texture of stitching.
This is one of those cards you just HAVE to run your fingers over!
So here's how the fun background happened. I sprinkled my Brusho (yellow, green and mostly blue) on dry Whisper White cardstock. Then I misted it lightly with my Stampin' Spritzer and allowed it to settle in for a minute to or. Then I took a baby wipe and ran it over the cardstock from left to right. The crystals were still active, and with the additional moisture, made the great horizontal "brushstrokes" on the background.
It is really easy and I hope you'll give it a try and add it to your growing repertoire of Brusho techniques! If you want to recreate this card, go for it! Here's everything I used to make mine (except the seeing machine!)
