Always take the scenic route.... great advice on this cute card that my friend Candice made from the Best Route Memories & More scrapbooking card pack. I thought the sentiment was appropriate for a post I wanted to do to share some family pictures we had taken in honor of my in-law's 50th wedding anniversary this month.
All photo credits are Dean's Photography, LLC and if you need a photog in the Wisconsin area, I highly recommend him! He worked miracles on a VERY windy day and on a very tight schedule. Oh, and the distracting little duckling that kept peeping and wandering around in the way!
This is the Z's.... always fun to look for family resemblances. Everybody thinks the kids look like me until they see Mike's parents. Love the three generations of men on the right there!
Look at how giant my kids are!!! They will both be in high school this year, which just floors me. But I'm so proud of how they've risen to the challenges in their lives and I can't wait to see how God uses their abilities to the praise of His glory.
I just love this one of my in-laws. They are the best people ever. I love that they are retired now and having a chance to take the scenic route (actually they never seem to be at home anymore!)
Wanna see something funny? Look at the tree on the right--smiley face! Well, I won't bore you with the rest, but it was a fun session and it was way past time for an updated family photo. Now comes the task of deciding which ones and which sizes to print!
Sweet family - print the last one, and then the first one with the whole clan.
God Bless.

Gorgeous pics, Lyssa! And your kiddos have grown up so much! I remember when you used that adorable blue print SU fabric to make a little skirt for Natalie when she was maybe 1st grade or so?? Trying to remember how many years ago it was that we carried fabric. I still have a bunch. And why did I buy it? I can't sew and don't even own a machine! I need to find someone who can use it!
Hugs to you and to the fam!
