I accidentally cut my new Tropical Escape patterned paper wrong and wound up with a bunch of 6 x .5 inch strips! But they weren't wasted, because came up with a unique background mat that will be the perfect complement to your fun and whimsical line art images like the little lemonade stand from Sunny Days.
Ready to play? Here's what you'll need to gather:
- Paper Snips Scissors [103579]
- Stampin' Trimmer [126889]
- Tear & Tape Adhesive [138995]
- Tropical Escape 6x6 Designer Series Paper Stack or other coordinating patterned paper collection
Fun, huh? And thrifty to boot.
Now let's take this idea up a notch! Save all those little cut ends you created and adhere them all the way around your focal point piece. LOOK AT HOW CUTE THIS IS!!!
Isn't that just adorable? I used the Twinkle Twinkle papers for this one and the precious patterns in that pack just make me so happy. I love that all the designs are coordinated so I don't have to spend a lot of time pairing patterns.
Don't look too closely at my coloring though... my wrist was still not healed when I made this : )
It's all better now though, so there goes my excuse for slopping shading from here on out! Oops! Maybe I should have let y'all believe I was still wearing a brace!
I really like the cut pieces all the way around the matt. Very cute.
