Welcome back to 31 Pages in 31 Days, my annual scrapbooking immersion blog series! There is a whole lotta inspiration goin' on here during August, and if you run out of cute stuff to look at, be sure to check in the archives for 31 more page/spread ideas for each year for the past several years. I LOVE to scrapbook!
Today's inspiration layout is a fun double-page spread for your little mermaid or budding young diver.
The "bubbles" can be made with any circular stamp, or even the edge of a glass rubbed on an ink pad. I used the Swirly Bird set and the coordinating Swirly Scribble Thinlets dies for the bubbles, dots and "seaweed."
I'm enjoying the new Lined Alphabet with its open letters and the ability to color them in with any color I like. I highlighted my headline with the Chalk Marker after coloring them in with the Bermuda Bay marker. Some of the letters look a little more balloon-like than others, but hey, I tried.
My favorite part of this layout is the brand new trim, Leaf Ribbon, in Call Me Clover green. I almost didn't order this, but it makes perfect seaweed and adds a necessary textural variation to the pages.
My Scrapbooking Summer School class members are making this layout this week in class. Here's what they'll be using on their kits, and the supplies you'll need to gather to recreate this look at home.
