Hi friends! Penni and I have been so happy to have you along for the ride as we made our Halloween treats and projects for the year. Today is the last day of our annual series, which I hope you have enjoyed!
My project for today is a banner... a medium-sized banner perfect for a bulletin board or large photo frame. It was a great way to use up scraps with the Everyday Label Punch. I mentioned the letters yesterday when I shared the scrapbook page title I made with the "negatives" left after cutting them.
A mini banner is also a great way to use up odds and ends of ribbon. Oh, and here's a trick for you--don't have twine in the exact color you need? Choose one that's close and run it over the brush tip of a Stampin' Blends alcohol marker in the right color. I turned this Grapefruit Grove twine into Pumpkin Pie in about 30 seconds flat!
Penni pulled in some fun accessories for her last projects of the week. The new Tin Ceiling embossing folder looks totally amazing with the new Black Foil cardstock! It adds an eerie gleam and a fun bit of Victorian detail to the background. And look at the clever use of the new Christmas Bulb Builder punch with the bonus stamp set Making Every Day Bright to create a daisy. That was clever!
Of course, the best little embellishment for creepy crawly tags on your Silver Mini Gable Boxes is the new Spider Trinkets silver-metal charms. They come with a little ring to perfectly tie them with Baker's twine or a few strands of burlap thread. Don't forget to save two to add to a pair of earrings for some wearable fun!
Thanks so much for riding shotgun on our series. Penni and I will be collaborating again in February 2019 with more real-life papercrafting projects to celebrate Valentine's Day. Until then, it's full speed ahead with Thanksgiving and Christmas... my, how time flies!
Enjoyed your tip for today. Everything looks great. Thanks for all your work to bring this to us.
