I meant to post these photos this morning and talk about how thankful I am...but I got distracted by something that has made me very, very grateful! My dad has a stroke this morning. He is doing really well but he is extremely lucky (blessed) that he woke up this morning at all. He got medical intervention in time and so far all the tests have been positive. I'm really thankful he is still with us.
I've always been a daddy's girl, so today was rough... but there was a nearly-tangible feeling of being held in prayer. I don't know if you have ever experienced that, but it's really something. My mom said she felt a deep underlying calm all day. I'm grateful she's been gifted with that peace! God is in control.
Whew! Lots of gratitude today. But now let's talk about the cards. Who would you send these fun and trendy buffalo check plaid cards to?
The first time I saw buffalo check plaid as a decorating motif I was so under-whelmed. It just seemed so blah. But it's really grown on me as I've seen it everywhere lately, so I broke down and bought the stamp. Be sure you get it in cling-mount so you can use it in your Stamparatus --backgrounds are totally painless now, thanks to that thing!
I've included a supply list so you can recreate this look at home. If you need anything, I'd love it if you'd consider me your demonstrator.

Thanks for stopping to see what's up in my craftroom--and thank you for taking a moment to pray for my precious parents. I was so touched by all the expressions of caring on Facebook today. You guys are truly a gift.
I’m so sorry to hear about your dad Lyssa. I’m glad you and your mom have God’s strength and peace to make it though this stressful and scary time. I’ll be praying for you and your family.
