The Christmas card of the week is from my November 2018 featured stamp set, At Home with You. Do you like porches? My favorite part of decorating is our front porch. I just love making little vignettes and I have way too many wreaths to choose from. I would love a set of Christmas topiaries just like these!
Unlike many homes in this region, our front porch was never closed in, so it remains wide open and welcoming. I HOPED to have our new red front door installed for this holiday, but our contractor is running way behind because of the odd, rainy year we had. I've always loved red for front doors and can't wait to have my own for the very first time! How funny, I just realized the door we picked looks almost exactly like the one in the stamp set. Ha!!
The back door, which opens into my stamp room, is also being replaced with a long windowed one and I'm excited about having more light and a better view in there.
Both the doors were original to the house but in wretched condition due to previous owners letting their animals scratch at them. The back door especially looks like a bear tried mightily to gain access! So it will be nice to have those out finally. We've only lived here sixteen YEARS... ahem.
If you like front porches and endless ideas for decorating them, check out these stamps with coordinating images, like Ready for Christmas (interior staircase and additional Christmas decor) or Sitting Here (porch swing, cushions accessories and animals). Barn Door is a rustic version with more wreaths and some great sayings, too. Pop on By is a precious little pop-up house card with accessories that also coordinate with At Home With You. And Vertical Greetings has three topiaries and six different sentiments that match perfectly, too.
Thanks for stopping by to see what my latest Christmas creation is! I hope you'll pop on tomorrow for opening day of the Year-end Clearance, where you just might be able to pick up some sweet stocking stuffers for yourself and friends at a great price. See you tomorrow!
A very inviting card Lyssa.
