8 beautiful butterfly paper layouts you can make tonight!

I finally got up the nerve to cut into my pack of Botanical Butterfly papers last night! Do you have that same hesitancy to apply scissors to paper sometimes?  I ended up making ten GORGEOUS cards (in my opinion anyhoo!) and not even using up half a pack, so I'm really glad I gathered my courage.

Here are eight different layouts you can make SO FAST with these beautifully designed papers. All you'll need is a paper trimmer, some good sharp professional-grade paper snips to cut butterflies off some of the sheets, a set with sentiments (I used Part of my Story, a 2019 free Sale-A-Bration reward choice), an ink pad and some embellishments.

This one (above) is a particular fave for two reasons. First, I never would have thought to pair polka dots with butterflies, but I love the look! And secondly, this layout allowed me to use butterflies that were cut off by the margin of the papers. So instead of having to throw out those half butterflies, I could make great use of them two at a time for this card.

There's also a full 2 sheets of butterflies that coordinate with the new Butterfly Duet punch (currently on backorder, sorry folks!) so that made some of my cards go even faster. I did not count but I bet there's close to 100 cut-out-able butterflies in this pack. Add that to the fact that is paper is free with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration 2019, and I say COME TO MOMMA!!

It was so nice to play with color and springy papers as it snows and blows outside my craft room window. We're supposed to get ten inches today, then descend into a "polar vortex" with a whole week of sub-zero temps. Fun times! Who wants to come and visit me in Wisconsin???

This last one is a favorite, too... there are two 12x12 sheets of coloring paper in this pack, which you can use in elegant black and white, color entirely, or color partially like I did. I like a little bit of coloring but not a lot, so I loved having the option but not having to buy a whole pack of coloring papers, know what I mean? This is just a really well-designed pack from Stampin' Up.
