I've got some more fun layout ideas for you that came out of my crafting session with the Home to Roost stamp set and a bunch of fun new background stamps. See the first post here, then enjoy these additional DIY cardmaking ideas. This is the most funnest hobby EVER!
All of the cards I shared in these posts use these basic materials (below) as a starting point. I made all the layouts, then went back and embellished them all at the end. That's a little tip for faster card production and more efficient crafting sessions!
***Note: Home to Roost is only available through March 31st, 2019,
but it's FREE with any $50 order when you Shop with Lyssa by the deadline!
This was an easy touch you can do with any Stitched Shapes square. Slice it diagonally corner to corner, then add those two pieces to opposite "corners" of a round or oval focal point. Adds a nice bit of color without being the same old matted look. Great dimension, too!
One of the things I loved about this set of Home to Roost ideas was that there was no need to color the rooster (although you certainly could). Just make sure your rooster is stamped in the darkest color you are using, in my case Cherry Cobbler, so that he really stands out.
Goodness, I'm going to need a Part Three to this little series! Check back tomorrow for the third and final showcase of this one VERY productive crafting session. Isn't it funny how sometimes you can't even manage to pull together ONE card, and other times you walk away with nine or ten? I hope these little tips and the idea for stamping everything up front before you start, are helpful to you next time you sit down to play.
