I got this card in the mail this week from my darling friend Cathie Lester and had to know how it was done! Can you guess? It's rubber band stamping! All you do is take a large clear block, wrap rubber bands around it over lapping in all directions, and use it like a stamp. What a fun background technique!
You could make background paper in any color scheme you needed, as busy or as subtle as you wanted. I'm thinking you could also do the rubber bands in straight lines if you wanted stripes, too. Clean up is easy, as you either just pitch the rubber bands and wipe off the block, or stick the whole thing under the faucet.
This is going to be fun! Are you going to try it? Let me and Cathie know in the comments!
