Welcome to Day 21 of 31 Pages in 31 Days! I'm glad you're here. I hope you'll leave me a comment and let me know if you're enjoying the series! Please feel free to copy the layouts exactly, or take bits and pieces according to your needs. I would be so pleased to hear you were getting some good out of my challenge month!
Recognize the fun background "scales" from yesterday's heritage layout? It's another piece of that chart I had made using the Shimmer Spray-ed Tailored Tag punch. I just love the calm, stylized "waves" the elongated geometrics give this page. It's very relaxing to make a background this way.
I took my color cues from that existing chart, then, and used Tranquil Tide, Bermuda Bay and Balmy Blue for my photo mats, embellishments and background. Accenting it with Crumb Cake helped ground all that blue--literally, as it looks like beach sand. Using Crumb Cake for the headline instead of bright white helped it mellow into the "waves" a little so it won't distract from the photos when they are adhered.
One week left in our series! Every year I remark about how I can't believe how fast August goes. Time flies when you're having fun! And this immersion scrapbooking is toooo much fun.
