I don't usually have much time to get out Easter cards in the spring, but this year everything is different, so I can really give them the attention they deserve. I treated myself to a new Easter set this year, the Easter Promise set on page 45 of the Spring 2020 mini catalog.
MOST of my Easter cards won't be as fancy as this one... that was a lot of cutting and coloring!
Here's the other design, using the embossed vellum you can get for free with any $50 order during Sale-a-Bration (details here). It comes in three colors, so I used all three of them with Purple Posy, Pool Party and Soft Sea Foam card bases. SUCH a pretty textural detail.
I liked that Easter Promise had something different than the usual flowers, although I love both of those, too. But crocus are cool and under-rated. They're always the first things to show some color in my yard, while the tulips and daffodils are still sending their elegant spires upward.
They last only a day or two at the most, because their presence soon brings another herald of spring--bunnies! To whom, apparently, crocus are irresistibly snack-worthy. But I don't mind. I love our little wild visitors even more than the flowers. And there are always more crocus... in the craft room!
This is such a gorgeous card, Lyssa. Love that colour combo.
