Wet Baby Wipe technique

I just got a fun new stamp set called Beautiful World, and while I haven't truly had time to dig in to it yet, I did make a card with a fun new technique that I just had to share with you guys. The video is not captioned because it was taken during our last virtual team meeting.

All you need is ink pads and a wet baby wipe! You gotta try this one!

Simple, sweet magnolias

There's just a teeny bit of time left in the old catalog, and I'm using those minutes to draw your attention to a sweet little set that actually wasn't IN it! The Magnolia Blooms stamp set was only featured in our beginner's brochure, Experience Creativity. It's like a mini version of the enormously popular Good Morning Magnolia set.

I sat down to see what I could do with Magnolia Blooms before it's too late for you to add it to your collection, too! I came up with four very simple, clean layouts that you'll love--and the basic supplies to make 40+ of them are just under $50! That's including envelopes. WOW!

I used scraps of patterned paper to contrast with the florals on two of my designs. The coordinating Magnolia Lane papers are also retiring and those are a great choice if you want to match. This sweet Petal Pink polka dot pattern came from Bird Ballad.

Actually... the size of this smaller magnolia is probably more versatile and useful than the big set! However, you might consider getting both so you have all of the sentiments plus a wide variety of sizes of the flower for both cards, pages, and the outsides of your envelopes.

Making your own greeting cards CAN be pricey, depending on what you feel you need-- but with wise buys and thrifty tricks, it can also be considerably cheaper than the store. Hey crafty chick!

Whew! That's the end of the school year for us. I am never sorry, but especially this year with everyone having been home and trying to work since mid-March. Congratulations on your graduation, Dan!

It's a big week at our house... Daniel turned in his last final after the weirdest school year ever, and next week is full of funny little appointments to take pictures, return books, get his diploma, and pick up awards. I am NOT sorry to see the end of school!!

I am SO PROUD of this boy and feeling really blessed to get to be his mom. Isn't he handsome??! He has been accepted into Maranatha Baptist University as a Communication Arts--Digital Media student this fall. We've got a third-generation Sabercat in the family!

When you see a graduate smiling in their funny mortarboard hat with the tassel that always manages to swing right into your mouth, you don't see all the plain old hard work that they've put in for the last four years. In our case, a million small challenges overcome along with a few big ones, too. And then one really big challenge right at the end just to make their senior year interesting! It really is an occasion to celebrate.

I really can't wait to see what God has in store for Dan in the future. Will it be something that suits Dan's tastes and talents perfectly? Or will God ask something of Dan that we could never imagine, and empower him to do it? Who knows! So exciting. Look out world!!

Easy Graduation Card with the Stamparatus

Come get inky with me as we learn another fun Stamparatus technique, the hinge step! Get a cool ombre look and perfect placement as you "step" down the cardstock. I made a quick video of this card idea to help you with an easy graduation card idea --even if you don't have any graduation-specific stamps!

Isn't that so easy? using the Stamparatus always sparks my imagination and makes me want to experiment more. Don't worry, I'll share tips on anything fun I discover!

Here's a fun stepped-up feminine version, with some layers and the polka-dotted tulle ribbon.

ENJOY the free one-sheet wonder template! I can't wait to see what you make with it. I really like using 6x6 one-sheet wonders because you can make four cards with it--one card for whatever occasion you need right away, and three to put in your card box to grab as needed in the future. Sneak peeks from the May Suite Sampler Box!

I really love this month's Suite Sampler! Based around the Bird Ballad papers from the outgoing Stampin' Up main catalog, this suite was an absolute delight to work with. I was able to create several scrapbook layouts and seven cards with just a couple of delightful hours in the craft room. I can't wait to see what my Suite Sampler subscribers do with THEIR boxes!
