Another nutso day around here, but pages are still getting accomplished, so that's something! We ended up having to postpone Natalie's dental surgery because she drank water too close to the appointment, of all things... she was all prepped and hooked up and they were just about to start the IV and everything. Still, better safe than sorry, right? So we drowned our embarrassment with Culver's custard and a trip to the music store for some fun sheet music. Love spending time with my girl!
Today's inspiration pages are about spending time in nature! The punches make the page, on this layout. The Pine Tree and Moose punches are good for more than just Christmas cards! And I love the trendy touch of buffalo check plaid, reminiscent of flannel and coziness.
The headline on this one is kind of fun. I was planning to use the letters themselves, but the "negative" piece left over after e-cutting them reminded me of boards (hey, I should have embossed them with the new Bark folder!) so I used those instead for something different.
Another fun touch is the faux ribbon, made of a skinny strip of Cherry Cobbler cardstock folded in half and trimmed at angled ends. What a fun way to use up those annoying scrap strips, eh?
If you love using up scraps and feeling super thrifty, you might like a scroll through my Paper Scraps Papercrafts Pinterest board, and the Paper Scraps category here on the blog. I've been saving some truly incredible ideas for how to get good from every last little bit of your gorgeous papers and cardstocks.
Thanks for popping in to see Day Six! I hope you are getting LOTS of ideas. I will meet you here tomorrow for Day Seven's inspiration.
