2022 Honor Flight Stamp Camp write up

"Lyssa Zwolanek, a Gold Elite demonstrator from the United States, received the Heart of Stampin’ Up! award. Her association with Stampin’ Up! allowed her to connect her team, the Song of My Heart Stampers, with a worthwhile cause: they used their love of stamping to show appreciation and kindness to war veterans. Lyssa’s hard work has made quite a difference for her local community and for many deserving men and women across the country.

Lyssa and her team recently gathered for their annual Honor Flight Stamp Night. The Honor Flight Network is a charitable organization that serves veterans from World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War by sending them on all-expenses-paid trips to the war memorials in Washington, D.C. Together with the Honor Flight Network, the stampers set a goal to create 1,000 handmade cards in one day to help raise funds for this organization. They were more than successful, surpassing their goal by an astounding 1,952 cards! Through this project, Lyssa helped to further unify her team and the stampers that joined by creating cards to honor the veterans. As part of Lyssa’s award, Stampin’ Up! donated supplies and sponsored trips for eight veterans and their companions.

(Actually our final count was well over 2,100 handmade, hand-signed cards delivered to Honor Flight! Demonstrators all over the U.S. mailed them in and they just kept coming. It was lovely. Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, bid, advertised and stamped!)

I'm delighted to announce a new session of Christmas Club for 2022! I hope if you live anywhere close to Watertown, Wisconsin, you'll join us at Embellish on the third Monday or Tuesday of the month for August through November to make our holiday cards!

• We run for four sessions, so you'll have 48 gorgeous handmade cards done before Thanksgiving!

Wonderful World papers card ideas tutorial

Ready for some stunning ideas for your floral papers? I recently earned a beautiful free pack of Wonderful World paper from Stampin' Up (it's Sale-A-Bration 2022!) and there were two sheets--one with HUGE flowers and one with teensy tiny little ones-- that required a little more creativity than the others!

Here's my best ideas for them--I think they turned out really cute!

Apparently I forgot to photograph the circle punch one--I'll add it in later! I know I'm behind on getting photos done. I've been a creative MACHINE lately getting ready for Scrapbooking Summer School and 31 Pages in 31 Days. The studio is humming with activity! I love it!

What I made with my July 2022 Suite Sampler box!

I almost couldn't wait to share this month's Suite Sampler inspiration projects with you! • Email me to start your once-a-month invoice via PayPal. It is due by the tenth of the month if you want to play.

• If you don't want that month's shipment for any reason, simply delete the invoice!

Free Tutorial: Instant Color Soft Pastels with Versamark

I had so much fun with my new pastels the other day! But I forgot to photograph the cards before I went on vacation, and I just remembered to post them. You don't want to miss this new/old technique!

In my video I share 4 card ideas you can do in just moments using regular Basic White cardstock, Versamark clear ink (commonly used for embossing) and the new colorful, creamy pastel sticks from Stampin' Up. They are a real WOW and totally different than the chalks I thought they were like. The color goes on similarly, but is far more intense and vibrant. Love it!

Isn't that pretty? You can hear the delight in my voice on the video : ) I love simple WOW techniques that make people ask how in the world you did that!

We made these in club last month, too, and almost everyone chose it as their favorite card of the night. It was just so fun to do. I really hope you give it a go!
