Hello my friends! Welcome to Day TEN (already!) And we're starting the day with technical difficulties.... sigh. I'd MUCH rather be in the stamp room right now than struggling with electronic gremlins!
I hope to be back in there later today working on tomorrow's layout, but we'll see. Things are heating up here in my house full of teacher/students as their various "first days" of school are uncomfortably close. Lots of hits to the pocketbook this week!
Today's inspiration layout for 31 Pages in 31 Days is a third class kit from Scrapbooking Summer School. There are 34 of us this year all creating together. I send the kits out and they can either recreate them exactly or improv with the pieces and elements. It's so fun to see everyone's end results. You should join us next August!!
I used my e-cutter for this cute bicycle and headline, to match the fun paper from the Design A Daydream stack. I love papers that really challenge you color-combo-wise. I never would have paired all of these together, but the end result is great!
I've had some say they could never use as much yellow or orange as I do. That's fine, but remember MOST of the solid blocks of color are photo mats, so the end product will only have a 1/8th to 1/4 inch rim of color around the edge. Scrapbooking is actually a great place to use up some of those bold colors you thought you'd never use out of the pack!
Ok, enough fun, I'm back to trying to convince Facebook to let me post to my various groups and clubs that I've run for years and years. Wish me luck! See you tomorrow for Day 11. We're 1/3 of the way through our challenge already!
