Hello Cupcake was my personal #1 Sale-A-Bration reward choice this year--I just love it! It has such scrumptiously scribbly artwork, and the sayings are sweet and can be used on different types of foodie cards, too. Add that all to the fact that EVERYONE loves cupcakes, and I knew this stamp set would have a good home in my cupboard.
My craft session began with a color scheme and some cupcakes stamped on die-cut ovals, with the frosting stamped separately and cut out to layer with a dimensional. I find I get more cards made overall if I create a bunch of the main focal point image first, then mess around coming up with different layouts to use each one on.

PRO TIP: As you can see, I'm having a ball with the new Stitched Rectangle Framelits. I even figured out how to use the long skinny rectangle to make stitches on my banner! Just die-cut your long rectangle and then use the corner of the die to cut the pennant ends of the banner. Easy!
Yes, the cupcake frosting is hand cut. IT WILL BE OK. I promise. Focus.
I had one piece left of the embossing paste lace I made for this project (October Class of the Month cards) and it found a home at last on my final card. I sure wish glitter showed up in photos better! It's soooo stunning in real life. Coupled with the dotted tulle ribbon and silver pearls and twine, and Frost White shimmer paint on the cupcake, this card is just a confection.
Ok! That's all for today. My kids are in their high school production of Newsies and tonight is opening night. I'm doing hair and some makeup. It's been a fun experience for all of us, even Daniel, who swears we will never ever get him in front of the curtain again. I'll be sure to share photos after the weekend!
