Hey everyone! I've got a super cute and SO QUICK gift card holder idea to share with you today! This one is going to SAVE YOUR BACON when you are pressed for time and in need of a super-quick gift, but you don't want to be LAME and just use the little cardboard folder that came with the gift card you snagged at the gas station on your way to the party! Does anyone else do that? Or is that just me? Well, if you take TWO minutes and do this fun envelope trick before you dash out the door, you'll feel lots better about your gift AND your recipient will love the presentation as well as the present.
Here's what the inside looks like:
To begin, you'll need a regular A-2 size envelope (Stampin' Up's "medium"); some cardstock; scissors; and a small craft clothespin or paper clip; plus stamps, ink, ribbon, etc, to embellish. Mine is made with a Crumb Cake envelope and stamped in Archival Black ink with the new Birthday Blooms stamp set. I used the White Signo Gel Pen and the Clear Glitter Wink of Stella pen to accent the cover image. My embellishments were Blushing Bride pink Glimmer Paper, Natural Chevron ribbon, and Linen Thread.
I used the Ornate Tag Topper punch to make my tag, and accented the gift card holder and the clothespin with glimmer paper hearts using the heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. You can use any scraps of patterned paper for decorating the inside (I used the 6x6 Love Blossoms stack.) I cut my piece to 2.5 x 4 inches.
So there you go! Is that not just so amazingly quick and cute? You'll remember that trick for years to come. Thanks so much for stopping by today! Please feel free to leave questions or comments below.
